Helping out Sophie with her uni work!

Hi!
As I have mentioned in my Facebook message, I am currently writing a short film for a class in university (Concordia) about two women aged 22 and 25. Briefly, the story happens when the girls stop at the Greenleaf Hut. My teacher asked us to do some research about our subject. Thus, I have some questions to ask you to make sure my story is realistic!
- How many months do it takes to get to the White Mountains (considering you start from the very beginning in Georgia)?
- Was there a point in your hike where you could not imagine yourself go back to ''reality''? Were you ever sacred to go back to the life you had before doing the AT?
- Do you have any funny anecdotes or bad luck that happened on trail?
- How were your relation with other hikers? Did you make good friends there?
- What would be a typical discussion between thru-hikers in a hut be like (do you talk about your hike anecdotes or you talk about who you are)?
- Do you have any examples of trail names?
- How did your body changed due to the long distance hike?
- What was your biggest motivation for doing the AT?
- Do the huts in the Whites have that principle that you can stay for the night if you help with chores? ( Dixie from Homemade Wanderlust talked about that in a vlog I think)
Feel free to skip questions if you don't have any answers or just don't want to talk about certain things! :)
Thank you so much for your time!!
Sophie
